Dr. José Barata-Dias
Member of the Advisory Board
Graduated in Marketing Management, with more than 30 years experience in management functions related to the Healthcare Sector. After having held various positions in Multinational Pharmaceutical, MSD, Roche, Schering-Plough and Nycomed (Takeda), he is currently Commercial and Marketing Director at Tecnifar. He was President of Markinfar (Portuguese Association of Marketing and Sales Professionals of the Pharmaceutical Industry). He is certified by APPM as Senior Marketing Professional and Certified in Coaching by ICC. He is also a lecturer in Executive Masters (European University and CESIF) and Postgraduate courses (Catholic University). He is currently on the Advisory Board of ELS Solutions and is an Executive Coach at Lead & Coach. As a volunteer, he is a member of the Executive Committee of the Portuguese Cardiology Foundation.

Dr. José Azevedo
Member of the Advisory Board
Graduated in Business Organisation and Management. Partner and Senior Advisor at Eurogroup Consulting,since 2011. Until 2009, he was a Partner at Deloitte (Consulting Division). He was also a European Member of the Steering Committee Global Quality & Risk Management and Senior Manager of Price Waterhouse (Consulting Division), between 1989 and 1997. Between 1982 and 1987, he was Senior Consultant at the same company and Planning Director at SOVIAL, AVIS Rent-acar, between 1987 and 1989. He was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SPEA, between 2010 and 2016. He is the author of numerous publications on various management topics and a regular contributor to the press.

Carlos Veleda
Commercial Director
Graduating from the Instituto Superior de Agronomia, he completed two postgraduate courses in business management. In 1993, he completed the Business Management Program at AESE (Association of Higher Business Studies) and, in 2005, he completed the Advanced Business Management Program at the Catholic University. With a career spanning 39 years in the pharmaceutical industry, he has consolidated 35 years of experience in management roles in sales and marketing. Most of his professional career was spent at MSD, where he held various management positions, both nationally and internationally. He has also held the positions of Commercial Director and General Manager in pharmaceutical and medical products distribution companies, accumulating extensive strategic and operational experience in the sector. Between 2002 and 2006, he was President of Markinfar, the Portuguese Association of Marketing and Sales Professionals in the Pharmaceutical Industry, actively contributing to the development and professionalization of the area in the country. Currently at ELS Group, he manages commercial activities and lead management in Portugal, applying his vast experience to generate results and boost business.

Eliane Miyazaki
Senior Business Development Manager
Food Engineer, graduated from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), with more than 35 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs. Nationally recognized for her technical and strategic expertise, she has built a distinguished career focused on negotiations with government agencies and the development of functional foods, beverages, and innovative ingredients. Since 1997, she has been a member of the Working Group on Foods for Special Dietary Uses of the Brazilian Ministry of Health, contributing to the formulation and improvement of technical standards that guide the food sector. In 1998, she also joined the Codex Alimentarius Food Committee, representing Brazil in international discussions on quality and food safety standards, reinforcing her role as a key figure in regulatory harmonization. In addition to her institutional work, she serves as a guest lecturer for ANVISA and the University of Brasília (UnB), sharing her extensive experience in public policy, innovation, and food safety. Her career reflects technical leadership, strategic vision, and a strong commitment to advancing the regulatory and scientific landscape of the food and nutrition sector in Brazil.

Filipe Fonseca
Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance Senior Associate
Pharmacist with a background in Pharmaceutical Sciences, he began his experience in the RA & QA area at Solvayfarma in 2007. He has consulting experience for the pharmaceutical industry in the areas of regulations, quality, production and materials management. He has solid knowledge in the areas of Medical Cannabis (Licensing, Technical Management, Quality Assurance and project development) and Medical Devices (Licensing, Medical Device Regulation, ISO 13485).

Fellipe Gimenez
Senior Sales Associate International
Graduated in Pharmacy from Mackenzie Presbyterian University, he has experience in pharmaceutical care and dispensing, as well as providing high-quality pharmaceutical services. He has contributed to innovation by developing an ointment with bromelain for the treatment of diabetic ulcers, demonstrating creative and technical skills. In the commercial arena, she has accumulated 3 years of experience, being responsible for effectively conducting strategic meetings, ensuring proactive and personalized follow-up with clients. She currently leads the Backoffice team, where she strategically manages prospecting and international customer follow-up.

Leonardo Abreu
Senior Sales Associate
Graduated in Pharmacy from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. Undertook a Scientific Initiation with a FAPESP grant from UNIFESP. He has developed innovation projects in the area of medicines and food, and has experience in pharmaceutical services, regulatory affairs and pharmaceutical commercial. He currently serves as Senior Sales Associate.

Ovídio Micuci
CFO LATAM
Certified Accountant, brings together more than 40 years of experience in accounting, taxation and financial management, in small and medium enterprises. At ELS Solutions, Micuci is responsible for the financial department in Brazil.

Vinicius Coelho
Senior Technical Sales Associate
Lawyer from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, Pharmacist and Biochemist from Universidade São Paulo (USP). He has more than 6 years’ experience in the field, with a focus on advising national and international industries on the regularization of products and companies. As a member of the first Pharmaceutical Health Law Center in Brazil, he actively participated in legal and regulatory strategies. He has developed an article with the Biodirectory and Biosafety research group at Mackenzie Presbyterian University, linked to CNPq, in order to reflect the legal and regulatory nuances of Brazilian legislation.

Pedro Salgado
Business Development
Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Lisbon, he has three years’ experience in the field, standing out for his dynamic and proactive work in the commercial sector and in client relations. Throughout his professional career, he has demonstrated the development and implementation of innovative commercial strategies, resulting in a significant impact on business results. He is currently Project Manager Officer for the ELS group.

Dr. Luís Sepúlveda
Global Legal Counsel Associate
Graduated in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and Post-Graduated in Corporate Finance from the same University. He was Senior Legal Advisor at a Technology company and Lawyer at Schiappa Cabral & Associados and Lisbonlaw. He currently practices law and is ELS’ Global Legal Counsel.

Larisse Micuci
Finance Director
Accountant, specialist in business management and behavioral economics. She has been working in the business consultancy area for 18 years and has brought her experience of working in market consultancy with the country’s major food service industries to her accounting work. At ELS she works as an accountant, carrying out budget, financial and tax analysis and planning.

Daniela Risso
Regulatory and R&D Associate
Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences. She began her career in the pharmaceutical industry as a sample flow analyst in the quality control of solid generic medicines, and progressively moved up to the position of technical affairs scientist for injectable medicines. She also had the opportunity to take on the challenge of coordinating clinical trials in the field of oncology, where she ensured the compliance of various clinical trial projects with the aim of driving innovation in oncological treatment. She is currently Regulatory and R&D Associate at ELS Group.

Rubem Silva
Senior Regulatory Associate and Project Manager Officer
Pharmacy degree from the University of São Paulo (USP), he has diversified experience in the public and private sectors, covering areas such as patents, commercial and project management. Throughout his career, he has developed solid skills in strategic analysis and the implementation of solutions aimed at innovation and efficiency. Currently at ELS Group, he acts as Project Manager Officer (PMO) and Regulatory Associate, playing a central role in the management and control of strategic projects, which include planning, monitoring and execution, ensuring deadlines are met. His work focuses on the development and execution of customized solutions that maximize operational efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance and guarantee success in critical processes. It has a high level of expertise in developing customized solutions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, directly contributing to the success of critical processes and strengthening operations. Combining strategic vision and technical skills, it contributes to optimizing processes and strengthening the alignment between organizational objectives and regulatory demands.

Daniela Roza
Backoffice & Financial Associate
Graduated in Industrial Engineering from the Celso Suckow da Fonseca Federal Technological Education Centre (CEFET/RJ), with a specialization in Quality and Productivity Management. She has a consolidated career with over 20 years’ experience in administrative functions, production planning and control, as well as project management, accumulating technical and strategic knowledge in different industrial segments. She has developed her professional career in large companies such as Petrobras and Michelin, where she has held important positions, contributing to process optimization, continuous improvement and the delivery of results in line with organizational goals. Currently, she works as a Backoffice & Financial Associate at the ELS group, responsible for ensuring the operational and financial efficiency of internal activities, including supporting administrative operations, managing financial flows, preparing reports and analyzing data to support strategic decisions, as well as collaborating in the development and implementation of improvements to internal processes, ensuring the integration of administrative and financial areas with corporate objectives.

Marco Loureiro
Business Development
Holds a degree in Business Administration from FIJ and complemented his education with an MBA in Business Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and a Postgraduate degree in Commercial Management from IBMEC. With a 31-year career, 26 of which have been dedicated to the pharmaceutical industry, he has built extensive experience in commercial management, business development, and team leadership within competitive and multicultural environments. He began his leadership journey at Organon do Brasil, where he served as First Line Sales Manager, later taking on management positions at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), including Second Line Sales Manager and National Sales Manager in the immunobiologics division. Throughout his career, he has gained solid experience in both the Brazilian and Portuguese markets, standing out for his strategic vision and ability to integrate technical, commercial, and regulatory areas. Currently at ELS Group, he is responsible for business development, supporting the expansion of pharmaceutical, medical device, and dietary supplement portfolios between Europe and Latin America, contributing to strengthening the group’s global presence.

Sara Correia

Holds a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Lisbon and stands out for her dedication, precision, and adaptability across diverse professional contexts. With experience in community pharmacy, student associations, and projects involving communication, graphic design, and commercial activities, she demonstrates a versatile and dynamic profile that combines scientific knowledge with management and pharmaceutical marketing skills. Her career reflects proactivity, responsibility, and a strong motivation for personal and professional growth within the pharmaceutical sector. Marco Figueiredo
Sales Associate
Graduated in Pharmacy from the University of São Paulo (USP), with a strong academic foundation that also includes prior training in Electrical Engineering at the Polytechnic School of USP. Has experience in hospital settings, having worked at the USP University Hospital with medication reconciliation, direct patient interaction, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Currently develops a scientific research project analyzing SUS data, applying Python for processing and interpreting large datasets, with a focus on profiling multiple myeloma patients in Brazil. Engages in extracurricular activities in the fields of health and technological innovation, including academic leagues and MedTech initiatives. Holds certifications in Good Clinical Practice, Clinical Research, and technical pharmaceutical coursework. Fluent in English and experienced in academic tutoring, currently working with client prospecting, relationship management, and execution of regulatory processes.

Sofia Bustia
Commercial Associate
Pharmacy degree from the University of São Paulo (USP), where she served as a student representative on the International Relations Committee. She has international academic experience, having completed a research internship at KU Leuven (Belgium) and been the USP student selected to participate in an academic exchange program at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, funded by Banco Santander. She developed two scientific initiation projects in the field of immunology, funded by CNPq and FAPESP, which resulted in two publications in high-impact scientific journals and presentations at conferences. In addition to her scientific background, she has participated in business projects within the pharmaceutical sector through the faculty’s junior enterprise. She currently serves as an Associate in the commercial department at ELS Group.

Claudia Mizushima
Director of Regulatory Affairs
Food Engineer from UNESP, with a specialization in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and an international certification in Food Safety from Michigan State University (MSU). With over 25 years of experience in the food industry, she has worked in national and multinational companies in the nutrition and health sectors, building a solid career in Regulatory Affairs, product development, and technical management. She currently serves as Director of Regulatory Affairs at FoodStaff, a company within the ELS Group, where she leads projects in the areas of Nutrition and Health and provides regulatory consulting to various organizations in the sector. Recognized for her strategic vision and ability to integrate technical, commercial, and institutional areas, she is dedicated to ensuring compliance and fostering innovation in the food industry, contributing to the strengthening and safety of the sector.

Rodrigo Ribeiro
Scientific and Regulatory Manager
Nutritionist and Master in Public Health from the University of São Paulo (USP). He is the author of the study “Consumption of Processed Foods and Associated Factors in Adults and the Elderly Living in the City of São Paulo,” presented in fulfillment of his Master’s degree in 2008, and has also contributed to the development of several other scientific works published in specialized journals. He has extensive experience in the validation of safety studies, including in vitro tests, animal experiments, and clinical trials. Since 2008, he has been developing and preparing Technical-Scientific Reports related to the safety and efficacy assessment of new ingredients and novel foods, bioactive substances, enzymes, probiotic strains, food additives, and processing aids.

Luís Baraçal
Regulatory & Quality Manager
Chemist with a postgraduate lato sensu specialization in Organic Chemistry from UNICAMP and an MBA in Food Safety. He has professional experience in multinational companies in the food and beverage, cosmetics, cleaning products, and pharmaceutical ingredients industries, working in the areas of Corporate Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Product Development, Consulting, and Quality Control. He has played a key role in the registration of recycled packaging and the evaluation of packaging materials such as resins and polymers intended for food contact, supporting product development in innovation projects with full compliance to sanitary regulations. Since 2003, he has been an active participant in ANVISA’s technical working group on food additives and labeling within the Codex Alimentarius framework, as well as in the Codex Alimentarius Brazil Food Commission and in Mercosur discussions, representing the industry before the Ministry of Agriculture, ANVISA, and INMETRO.

Tabatha Roman
Regulatory Affairs Associate
Food Engineer graduated from Escola de Engenharia Mauá, with complementary studies in Gastronomy from Universidade Metodista de São Paulo. She has over ten years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, having worked in national and multinational companies in the food, beverage, and nutrition sectors. She possesses solid knowledge of national and international regulations, including the Codex Alimentarius, and extensive experience with regulatory processes involving ANVISA, MAPA, and INMETRO. She has worked in leading organizations, managing projects related to product registration and compliance, regulatory adjustments, and liaison with health authorities. She stands out for her participation in technical discussions on food labeling and microbiology, as well as for leading initiatives aimed at portfolio expansion and exports across Latin America. Currently, she leads technical and strategic projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and support for innovation in the Nutrition and Health market.
